Contact Your Local Council
The best place to start when arranging a venue is to contact your local council. In the column to the right you will find links most of the local council websites.
Some of these websites include venues available for
hire, the hire prices and the facilities present at that location
(eg toilets, BBQ's etc). Even if this information is not
included, you will at least be able to find out who to
contact to access this information.
Public Liability Insurance.
Most councils will ask if our company has Public Liability Insurance, and will want to sight the documentation. We
carry Public Liability Insurance to the value of $10 million and will
gladly forward a copy of our insurance details to the council. Some
councils may want to discuss the set-up arrangements with us.
If this is the case, just let us know & we will happily
contact the appropriate person.
Questions to Ask
When considering a venue,
there are a number of questions you may want to ask to ensure that the
venue is suitable (& to ensure the event is as stress-free as
possible). These may include:
- What indoor/outdoor venues are available to host a party with a bouncy castle?
- What fees, if any are involved (eg bond, venue hire)?
- Is power
available? If so, does it incur an an extra charge? (Please note
that power is not essential, we are able to provide a generator at an
extra cost - see Price List - Additional fees )
- What facilities
are present (eg undercover shelter, BBQ's, playground equipment, picnic
tables, toilets, water fountains, kiosk, tea/coffee making facilities)?
- Are there any potential hazards for children (eg busy roads, lake/river)?
